Meet Dr. Roger Myers
Dr. Roger Myers was born in Augusta, Georgia, and at a young age developed a fascination for the dental arts. Dr. Myers attended The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and received his Bachelors of Science in Biology. While attending The Citadel, Dr. Myers was exposed to a rigorous military environment that promoted discipline and focus in his life. Upon graduation, Dr. Myers pursued his dream of entering the dental field, and enrolled in The University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry. While in dental school, he adopted a passion and affinity for the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dental implants, removal of wisdom teeth, and IV sedation were special topics of interest to him. Dr. Myers volunteered in the oral surgery dental clinic while pursuing his degree in dental medicine. He had the opportunity to participate in, and observe various surgical procedures which inspired him to pursue a career as a dental surgeon.
After completing dental school, Dr. Myers began an oral surgery residency training program at the prestigious Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The residency program provided rigorous training in all aspects and surgical elements in the field of oral surgery. Special emphasis was placed on dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, pediatric oral surgery, pathology, and managing trauma at multiple area hospitals. Additionally, daily clinical assignments of providing full scope oral surgical procedures to the residents in the great city of Philadelphia honed his surgical expertise. Dr. Myers also had extensive exposure to rendering oral surgery procedures to pediatric patients, and is proficient in providing sedation and care to children of all ages.
After many years in the northeast, Dr. Myers decided to return to his home state of Georgia where he began his private practice in Hinesville. His love of oral surgery and treating patients has expanded his practice to include office locations in Hinesville, Waycross, and Douglas, Georgia.
Dr. Myers and his wife Christina enjoy being actively involved in the community. Their passion is spending time with their children.
